Um, actually there will be tines when that’s necessary. The point is not to cover parts that convey expression. You have to put the balloons somewhere, and in a page that only contains just a body, it’s better to cover up a leg that doesn’t convey part of the body language than it is to leave it out. That’s the problem with finite canvas space.

Are you serious? Bubbles cover figures are ALL THE TIME. You may not *like* it, but that’s your own personal preference, not a good comic tip.
